Pumori Expedition is a challenging mountain peak above 7000 meters. Mt Pumori (7161/27494) is a challenging 7000m expedition in the Himalayas of Nepal. Mount Pumori lies on the Nepal and China border in the Mahalangur Parbat of the Himalayas. Similarly, Mount Pumori lies 4.5 km from Nuptse and 8.3 km west of Everest. In addition, in the Sherpa language, the meaning of Pumori means unmarried daughter. Furthermore, annually a lot of people do this expedition. Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Today is the first day of your expedition. So, today your airport arrival representative will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel accommodation in Kathmandu. Where the hotel staff helps you settle.
Preparation for the trip
On the second day, you will be doing the necessary preparation for the journey and you will be given a briefing by our experts about the trip. After that start doing the necessary shopping for the climb.
Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Trek to Phakding (2650m/8,694ft)
Today we will take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which takes around 30-35 mins. After reaching Lukla we will start your trek to Phakding at an altitude of 2650m. Similarly, the whole journey from Kathmandu to Pakding takes around 4 hours. There we will be resting at the local lodge and spending the night. The lodge will provide you with great hospitality.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar through colorful Khumbu villages (3440m/11,286ft)
After having a good night’s sleep at the comfortable lodge of Phakding. We will start the trek from Phakding to the Namche Bazaar. Furthermore, this trek will give you a great view of the surroundings. Most importantly, you will travel through a colorful Khumbu village at a height of 3440m. Similarly, this trek lasted 6 hours. Furthermore, during this trek, we provide lodging facilities to our consumers. In addition, the lodges there are also very comfortable and suitable. The colorful Khumbu village is very famous among the national and international trekkers all around the world. There are a lot of expeditions that are through the route of Khumbu village.
Rest day for acclimatization.
Today is the fifth day of your expedition. It is an important day for your expedition because today you will get familiar with the environment and the temperature of the surrounding which will help you on your further journey. In addition, to all that you will also get a chance to hike to the famous Everest View Hotel from where you will get a magnificent view of Mount Everest. Which will give you the worth of this trek. While you are at the hotel you will get to observe the local traditional food with some western foods. Here you will get to know the tradition of Sherpa and Tamang ethnic groups. Similarly, after having a wonderful time at the hotel you will go towards Hilary and Sherpa museum at Namche in the evening with a slide show program. Furthermore, the slide show program gives you a lot of knowledge about the tradition of Nepal. In addition, you will see the beauty of the surrounding at Namche bazaar and in the evening you will rest in a comfortable lodge that provides you great hospitality during your stay.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3850m/12,631ft)
After a very entertaining fifth day. On the sixth day after a wonderful lunch at the lodge, we head from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche which is at an altitude of 3850m. Between Namche Bazaar to Tengboche will see abundant flora and fauna of the place. Similarly, this trek is 5-6 hours long so you must walk at your own pace. Likewise, while you are on the journey then you will also see and visit a significant Buddhist monastery. Where you will get knowledge about Buddhist culture. Furthermore, after reaching Tengboche we will provide you with a suitable and comfortable lodge facility for your accommodation.
Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4350m/14,271ft)
Today we will head towards Dingboche from Tengboche which is at 4350m altitude. These places have their qualities. It gives you a beautiful view of the surroundings and the nearby peaks. Between Tengboche and Dingboche you will see the different biodiversity. Similarly, you will also pass through some beautiful jungle. Likewise, you will also see some domesticated animals such as yaks. In addition, you will get stunning glimpses of the beautiful mountains of Nepal Mount Ama Dablam and Mount Lhotse. Furthermore, after walking 4-5 hours we provide you with a relaxing lodge facility where you can have a good night’s sleep.
Acclimatization in Dingboche(4350m/14,271ft)
Today we will be getting familiar with the environment of high altitudes. This acclimatizing day is very important because it makes you familiar with the environment and weather. Most importantly, this acclimatizing day will help you on your further journey. In addition to the acclimatization, we will hike to Chukung-Re. Similarly, during the hike, you will see abundant flora and fauna. You will also see the beauty of the nearby beautiful peaks
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (5018m/16,463ft) 4-5hrs
Today you will trek from Dingboche to Lobuche. The trek takes you about 4-5 hours. Similarly, this trek is at 5018m. Likewise, during this trek, you will be in love with its nature. This trek is also very entertaining. This trek can be twice as fun if you travel here during the spring and autumn season. In addition, we provide you with comfortable lodges where you can rest and enjoy the local’s hospitality.
Trek from Lobuche to Kala Patthar (5554m) after breakfast Trek from Gorakshep to Pumori Base camp (5300m/17,388ft)
Similar to day 9 today we will trek from Lobuche to Kala Patthar at 5554m. Similarly, we will have breakfast at Kala Patthar and afterward, we will continue our trek to Gorak Shep to Pumori Base Camp the trek takes around 2 hours and is at 5300m, then, we will be doing camping at Pumori Base Camp. then, from the next day, we will have our climbing period.
Climbing period (7161m/23,495ft).
From day 11-26 we will have a climbing period from Pumori summit at an altitude of 7161m. During this climbing, you will be climbing with experienced Sherpa climbers. They will also take full care of you during the trek. In addition, while you are climbing the Pumori you will be camping for accommodation. So, you must have everything with you. During this climb, you will experience the beauty of the Himalayas. Similarly, during this climbing period, you will have a lifetime experience.
Preparation for return, trek from Everest base camp to Dingboche(4350m/14,271ft)
After having a climbing period for almost two weeks. On day 27 we will prepare our return from the base camp. The trek from the base camp to Dingboche takes around 4 hours. During this trek, you will mostly climb downhill. You should be very careful when you are doing this downhill climb. Similarly, you should continuously hydrate yourself. After a long 4 hours from the base camp to Dingboche, we will rest at a comfortable lodge of the place and enjoy the wonderful hospitality of local people.
Trek from Dingboche to Tengboche (3860m/12,631ft)
After having a good night’s sleep at Dingboche. We will continue our trek to Tengboche with some of the uphill and downhill climbs. Similarly, the way is also a little crooked. So, you should be a little careful trekking here. However, anyone can trek here easily. In addition, the trekking from Dingboche to Tengboche takes around 4 hours. But, after a 4-hour long trek, you will rest in a very suitable and comfortable local lodge.
Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11,286ft)
Today, we will continue our trek to Namche Bazaar from Tengboche at an altitude of 3440m. This trek takes around 4 hours and after a long walk, you will be resting at the lodge of Namche Bazaar. In addition, you will experience wonderful hospitality at the lodge.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla(2840m/9,317ft)
Today is the 30th day of your expedition and today we will leave Namche Bazaar and trek to Lukla. During this trek, you will enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the place. Similarly, you will also see various flora and fauna of the place. Likewise, this trek is 7 hours long. Furthermore, after your trek, you will be resting at a very suitable lodge in Lukla.
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1350m/4,430ft)
After spending a wonderful night at the lodge of Lukla. There you will be catching a flight to Kathmandu at an altitude of 1350m and you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding from above while flying. Similarly, after reaching Kathmandu we provide you with hotel accommodation. There you will enjoy a wonderful night.
Leisure day shopping in Kathmandu.
Today is the second last day of your trek. So, today you will be shopping in Kathmandu. Similarly, you will have a farewell celebration dinner with a culture program in the evening. Where you will experience different cultural foods with some cultural traditions.
Transfer to the airport for final departure
Today is the last day of your expedition. So, your airport departure representative will leave you at the airport for your final departure.

The difficulty of the Pumori Expedition
Climbing at that much high altitude is very difficult. Similarly, this climb has a very rough road for trekking. So, make sure you are ready for anything, you should be prepared before going to the Pumori Expedition. The trail to climb is difficult in itself. But, if you try to complete this trek within a short period it’s going to be extremely difficult. Furthermore, the first part of this climb is especially hard and challenging. Likewise, you should be mentally and physically strong. Similarly, you should be familiar with the climate and weather of the Pumori Expedition. Otherwise, you will fall victim to altitude sickness during your journey and you might not complete the trek. Similarly, if you travel here during overdecorated seasons then there might be a shortage of suitable porters and accommodation facilities. Best time for Pumori Expedition
The best time for Pumori Expedition climbing is autumn (September, October, November) and spring (March, April, May) seasons. This season provides you with an ideal climate. Similarly, the weather is stable and you can climb with clear visibility. However, this climbing can also be done in the monsoon season. Trekking in summer/monsoon (June, July) will be affected by rain but summer trek could be great for serious botanists because you will see a lot of flora and fauna which can be very helpful for your research. The trekking routes are crowded during spring and autumn but during monsoon and winter the routes are not packed and you can enjoy the best of nature. Similarly, you will be able to travel with clear visibility of the surroundings.
Travel Insurance for Pumori Expedition
Travel Insurance is compulsory while you do any kind of trekking or climbing. Furthermore, your travel insurance covers your injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, rescue mission, loss of property e.t.c. Most importantly, check with your insurance company that your adventure and trekking above 4000m are covered. If you haven’t taken any insurance policy, then it would be difficult for us to operate your rescue mission on Pumori Expedition.
Meals and Accommodation of Pumori Expedition
In Kathmandu, we normally provide a 3-star hotel with the facility of breakfast, lunch, and dinner but you can upgrade it as per your wish. Similarly, while trekking we provide you with the most comfortable tea houses with hot showers, toilets, western food, and private rooms. Likewise, the tea houses provide you with their local foods. As most of the accommodation facility is run by the locals you will get a chance to experience quality local food and hospitality. In addition, the locals there also provide western foods though its a bit expensive compared to the local meals. Local dishes are less pricey because they prepare them with their local farm produce and spices. Whereas most of the ingredients for western foods are imported from cities which makes it slightly expensive. They also provide you with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner facilities as you wish. Most importantly, they also provide food in sufficient quantities.

On your 33 days Pumori Expedition, you need to be moderate to strenuous on your walk. Similarly, this trek is suitable for passionate walkers.
